This is also happening with my computer. I can play/do everything else fine, and Guild Wars is the only game it is happening with...sometimes to the point of locking up my entire PC, and a reboot is needed.

I have issues with only GW as well and I'm running a Quad Core processor and I never had issues on a single core processor. I've resigned to living with the problem as I've tried everything as well.

A guildie of mine is having the same thing, he also has a dual core PC.
For both of us the problem hasnt started until very recently, last update (shadow form etc) |

From what I can tell, that is an array error in the texture processing units. The 8 series and up use texture pathing, which would cause said error. You .dat seems to be corrupted, and texture files are not passing the back tests. I have to leave now, but try and gw.dat reinstall (delete the old one and use the -image command to get a new one)

I completelt reinstalled using all the cd's, and updated via the -image. I'm still having the same lockup problem. I did notice however with the first installation, there was some sort of 3D failure...I'm not sure exactly what it said, as I was hasty and closed the window.

It still sounds like GW is corrupting itself. Try installing it to an alternate location, and make sure you clean up the registry after uninstalling it. Your GPU wouldn't be causing this issue during install.
The only other theories. Your HDD is going out, and because of the large size of the GW.dat file, it is the first thing to corrupt typically. Your HDD controller on your motherboard is going out, resulting in the same as the HDD going out, but worse because you would have to buy a new motherboard.

My PC is about 3 weeks old and ive been playing Mass Effect the past 4 days with no problems at all.
Il try a clean re-install now but from what others have told me they are having the same issues just recently with exactly the same error log. |
